ERP Specialist

An exceptional consultant, coach and programme director with 20 plus years of organisation transformation experience.  Specialising inmanaging complex business and technical programmes with multiple vendors and C level stakeholders.  He provides extensive experience transforming HR, Finance, Procurement and IT services in global organisations.  His last 3 assignments included developing business cases,setting up programme structures and governance, delivery of Finance, HR and IT corporate service transformations, developing target operating models, process re-engineering, organisation re-structures and implementing Cloud solutions.He has implemented 5 full cycles of Oracle R12 or Fusion with O2C, R2R, P2P, H2R and Project Portfolio Management footprints. He is pragmatic, commercially astute, employs consensus management principles and is delivery focused.  At the same time having strong academic credentials being a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), Prince2 Practitioner, and holds a MBA in Business Administration.

Achievements

  • ​Provided significant challenge and alternative models to provide corporate services for a central government department. Corporate services included Procurement, Finance, HR and Payroll. Managed market engagement, Solution and BPO procurement and pilots for Oracle Cloud, SAP and SuccessFactors, Microsoft Dynamics, Unit 4 and i-Trent. The impact of implementing these changes result in 20% of costs savings, extending the service catalogue and improved service satisfaction scores. 
  • Designed and implemented a corporate services centre for the European region of a global organisation.  Underpinned by implementing Oracle R12 and Salesforceenterprise systems.  Immediate outcomes were local overhead reductions, improved financial control addressing audit and compliance issues and improved treasury management.
  • Transforming back office functions of global insurance company by introducing enterprise solutions, standard processes and challenging local requirements and practices.  Re-platformed and consolidated enterprise solutions into new datacentre in Dublin.  Providing improved system availability, resilience and lower cost of ownership.  Increase business capabilities to manage significant growth by integrating teams from multiple locations.
  • Designed and implemented of Oracle EBS R12 in to 26 countries in EMEA, Asia and Americas.  The footprint included resource management, projects, P2P, O2C and R2R.  The programme had an immediate impact by improving the group’s financial control, resource management and planning for 3,000 highly skilled engineers, architects and project managers, visibility and management of the sales pipeline and project profitability.
  • Transforming the back office of the world’s largest bank by implementing a significant Oracle EBS R12 footprint including Hyperion to manage 33 trillion transactions.  I was responsible for Release 1 and 2 being implemented and rollout globally.  The impacts of Release 1 and 2 were significant for the organisation removing the need for 5 million plus monthend adjustments and reducing the monthend close from 28 days to 10 days.  This lead to back office overhead reduction of 3,500 heads in Administration and IT.
