Tim Bench Direct ERP Programme DirectorIndicative day rate £1,050. Geo – London, South East & Remote.

A seasoned ERP programme director, I have led initiatives migrating from and to a wide range of ERP solutions, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle and others.  Engagement scope has covered the whole lifecycle from initial project conception through to delivery of a transformed service.  I have guided the procurement selection process for clients and providing oversight to systems integrators.

I have successfully architected and delivered major ERP transformation programmes to clients within the Financial Services, Public Sector, Telecoms, Utilities, and Manufacturing sectors.  My clients have included the Royal Bank of Scotland, Zurich Financial Services, MTN, Network Rail, Ernst & Young and Deloitte.  Before moving into consultancy, I worked in manufacturing and distribution for ten years, gaining experience in industrial management and accountancy.  With 25 years of consultancy history, I am experienced in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies and working with geographically dispersed matrixed teams.

Over the years, I have worked in a variety of different settings in the UK and abroad.  To do this successfully, I developed an ability to rapidly grasp new situations and remain flexible to the changing needs of organizations.

Highlights have included:

  • MTN in South Africa, leading the process design and implementation of a new shared service-based ERP and BI system and rolling out the processes to 22 different countries.
  • Northern Gas Networks required the migration of three different hosted platforms on to a new integrated SAP platform and a complete redesign of their back-office-processes.
  • Working for BT Global Services I was the Enterprise solutions Architect on three large Public sector joint ventures (Liverpool City Council, Suffolk County Council and Sandwell)
