I am a seasoned IT leader with 25+ years experience gained predominantly in the Telco & Media sector. In my most recent role with a global media company I was the Director of Data Centre Infrastructure & Cloud Services responsible for a pan European operation across 13 countries and directly responsible for a staff of ~150 personnel and two very sizeable outsource contracts with equal numbers of offshore resources delivering ‘down the wire’ to two European blue chip brands. As an IT leader I have consistently been entrusted with teams of significance size and managing enterprise infrastructure estates. In summary it’s fair to say my exposure to infrastructure & technologies is diverse & broad and I have managed technology & teams on an enterprise scale.

From an early point in my management career I have benefited from comprehensive leadership training, professional coaching and mentoring. Aligned to this the brands I have worked for have a culture that instils a strong commitment in their leadership team towards the treatment of its people. Consequently, as a leader I strive to lead with clarity, purpose and empathy towards others.

In terms of commercial exposure, I have diverse experiences covering contract negotiation & renewal, vendor & supplier management, outsourcing/insourcing and moving on prem workloads to Cloud. One of my particular strengths has been containing operational costs. I can volunteer many examples where I have significantly reduced opex exposure just by making bold decisions and negotiating hard but fairly with 3rd parties.
